This is a bottom-up, non-verbal approach that works with the way your brain learns, so you can feel what’s happening as it’s happening and make choices that actually work for you.

You’ll learn to find more support from your skeleton, so your muscles don’t have to do all the work.

You lie on a mat or sit in a chair, and a certified teacher guides you through small, slow movements to explore your movement patterns and discover new options.

There’s no stretching, exercise, or positions to hold, and everything is adaptable for all bodies and energy levels.

This might be for you if…

  • You’re tired of talking & just want to feel better now

  • You’ve tried talk therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, yoga, meditation, and all the doctors - and nothing has helped enough

  • You prefer parallel play to socializing

  • You’re burnt out or struggling and looking for structure, guidance, & support

  • You want more neurodivergent / spoonie / queer community in your life

  • You’re wanting to try somatic movement in a neurodivergent / queer / spoonie space

What you’ll get:

  • Regulate your limbic & nervous systems

  • Find more community & support

  • Feel more safety, ease, & comfort in your body

  • Take a pause in your week for rest, self-care, & connection

  • I was amazed by the simple and accessible approach Alex took in her Feldenkrais sessions. I have been healing rheumatoid arthritis for 18.5 years and was amazed to find more comfort and ease in my body after working with Alex. I felt celebrated to come as I was and felt very met in that place, and always looked forward to the next session!

—Alegra-Ray, Farmer, Dancer, & Death Doula

  • I'm deeply grateful to have experienced both large group and private lessons led by Alex. As a group facilitator, Alex brings an inspiring level of clarity, curiosity, inclusivity and invitation. With skill and humility, she holds compassionate space for all bodies. One-on-one Alex made me feel comfortable to share vulnerably about my body's conditions and my own inquiries. I was able to relax on a profound level and gained new perspectives about my body and personal story. Alex is overflowing with cultivated gifts, and she applies those gifts skillfully to serve whoever she is working with - I can't wait to work with her again.

—Kasey, Experimental Performer, Community Organizer, and Activist

  • This class has improved my bodily & mental awareness! The small movements have a relaxing and restorative effect. Alex is skilled with the process and makes it interesting and fun. She also provides outside reading and resources on Feldenkrais which is so helpful! I wish everyone knew about this practice.

Alex Toenniges (they/she)

Registered Somatic Movement Educator & Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner

I’m queer, late-identified autistic-ADHD (AuDHD) with lived experience of burnout, long covid, POTS, mast cell activation, and complex chronic illness.

I created this work because I needed it — and because too many people are asked to explain themselves instead of given proper support.

I don’t diagnose, treat, or fix.
I create conditions for safety, curiosity, and learning — so your nervous system can do what it already knows how to do.
